This week we're covering chapter nine from Age of Opportunity by Laurence Steinberg, Ph.D. This chapter is called "Winners and Losers" and discusses the gap between socioeconomic classes in our society and how it impacts adolescence. We cover how some children enter adolescence with an advantage, self-regulation and crime, the four rules, the coercive cycle, how poverty impacts puberty, and the privilege of delayed adulthood.
