Deborah and Sean met while in grad school in Ohio...fortunately for the listener, that part of the story is left out.

The two chat about Deborah's growing up in Michigan, her love of service, and issues of teaching young people about complicated things like race. Deborah currently works in higher education with connecting young students with the community and in an effort to better our world.
