Joyce and Raissa de Haas are the "Tonic Twins" who took over the drinks world with their premium mixers. In today's episode of SheCan Media, Stephanie sits down with Joyce to discuss Double Dutch, building a brand from a uni thesis, scaling internationally as a female founder, lessons in leadership, funding, and how they're staying authentic. Born and raised in the Netherlands – the birthplace of gin – the de Haas sisters grew up immersed in the vibrant world of spirits. While at university, they spotted a gap in the market: mixers that truly matched the quality and complexity of high-end spirits. What started as an idea for their Master’s thesis soon turned into a thriving business, backed by seed funding and a bold vision. Since its 2015 launch, the London-based brand has sold 10 million bottles and raised GBP 1.9 million. Their drinks are available in 22 countries and are sold in more than 4,500 outlets, including Michelin star restaurants and luxury hotels, such as The Savoy and Mandarin Oriental, as well as 2,000 supermarkets. Signature flavours like Cucumber & Watermelon and Pomegranate & Basil have made Double Dutch a favourite among mixologists and cocktail lovers alike. In this candid conversation, Joyce shares their journey of innovation, resilience, and redefining the drinks industry—one bold flavour at a time. #TheTonicTwins #DoubleDutchPremiumMixers #SheCanMedia __________________________________________________________________________ For any questions or inquiries regarding this video, please reach out to us @shecanworld 🔔 Subscribe to SheCan Media for more stories of women who lead with vision, purpose, and impact. 👍 Like, Comment, and Share to spread the inspiration! 👉 Connect with us on: Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/she.can.world LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/company/shecan-world/ Substack: https://shecan.substack.com/ Apple Podcast: https://podcasts.apple.com/za/podcast/the-shecan-podcast/id1790078746 Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/0MAiuylxS5AhxCSQcm8cax?si=a2eed7e527d448f2
