Shailja Dubé is the Deputy Director, of the Institute of Positive Fashion (IPF)- the British Fashion Council’s think tank on climate action is on a mission to create a responsible fashion economy. Shailja is responsible for the strategy and delivery of the British Fashion Council’s commitment to guide the UK fashion industry towards a just, net-zero, and circular economy. A systems-level thinker and strategist, passionate about creating an equitable and responsible fashion economy that leaves no one behind. Shailja has been a guest on BBC R4’s World at One, and a speaker at key industry events including Cannes Lions, London Tech Week, and the Future Fabrics Expo. With over 20 years of professional experience, Shailja has held business strategy, digital transformation, innovation, market growth, and social policy roles. Previous roles held include Responsible Retail lead at Accenture UK, which was a new position focused on the intersection of sustainability and business across the fashion, luxury, and wider retail sectors.
