TSW Women in Business S1/EP5 - Women Reinventing Themselves

In the fifth show in The SHE Word series Women in Business host Helen Chorley sits down to discuss the reality of changing career - Reinventing Yourself.

A recent survey by 'In Her Sight' found that 73% of women are looking to change careers, 23% up from the previous year. Reasons given include the need for more pay, the desire to find a career that they can believe in and the result of burnout. Women stated that lack of connections in the career of choice was the number one barrier to resetting their path, but in this show Helen sits down with three women who have done just that.

Joining Helen is Iona Muscat, an accomplished and passionate Archaeologist who jumped at the opportunity to completely change career when a recrutement call to join the Armed Forces of Malta as an officer landed on her lap. Iona not only took the opportunity, but leapt an opening within the AFM to become Malta's only female helicopter pilot.

Also sitting at the table is Olivia Bilocca from Ethical Living who has been an HR Consultant & Advisor for many years before pursuing her passion for psychotherapy practice, supporting individuals & couples in navigating personal challenges.

And Yvonne Midolo who started out her career as a podiatrist, become the secretary general for the Inernational Federation of Podiatrists, but her path took a completely different turn when decided to venture into the beauty industry.
