When was the last time you had a NORMAL conversation about a completely natural occurrence for a woman that affects over half the teenage and adult global population? On average women will experience 500 periods during their lifetime, and let’s face it, without periods the human population wouldn’t exist.
But isn’t it true that for a lot of us, periods aren’t the easiest topic to discuss, with friends, family, medical professionals, and for most periods are associated with stigma and even shame. The problem is, that if a conversation about a topic that is so normal is challenging, it will be much more difficult to discuss any issues, or lifestyle choices relating to menstruation.
In conjunction with the campaign ‘End Stigma. Period’ Host Trudy Kerr sits down with three amazing women to have the most normal, informative, entertaining and personal conversation about periods that you are likely to hear anywhere.
Much-loved Gynecologist Chiara Frendo Balzan joins the brilliant Actress, Teacher and Mum Tez Saliba, and Campaign Manager Maria Ellul to have a very normal conversation about what exactly a period is, what did their first period look like, what are the sanitary product options available, what other options relate to menstruation, how easy do they find it to talk to friends and family about periods, and how do we tackle the stigma associated with periods.
This show is for every woman, young and old, and for mums who are looking for help in navigating the topic with their children and teenagers.
Watch and enjoy a normal conversation about a completely normal topic that affects all women one way or another.
