This Episode is dedicated to another very special group of women. So far on The SHE Word we have hosted shows dedicated to parenting, young mums, working mums, pregnancy, postpartum. But as requested by our SHE-worders, in this episode we are talking to 'SAHMs - Stay At Home Mums'.

Statistically there are many advantages to having a SAHM - Children who have a parent who stays at home may achieve better academic performance, children are statistically more balanced and happy - but being a stay at home mum comes with sacrifices. SAHM's are more likely to experience loneliness, depression, isolation and frustration at the loss of a career or work.

In this show we handle the challenges and benefits head on as Host Trudy Kerr sits down with Kristina Vassallo full time mummy for the past 6 years Kristina studied a degree in Malta and then went abroad to do a masters in HR, so when Kristina chose to be a stay at home Mum she was in the middle of a successful career; Anthea Maria Ellul who a physiotherapist, but after her second child, she found out she was pregnant again with a little one who has a spinal condition which takes more commitment, and therefore Anthea chose to be a full time homemaker and Gail Hully - Gail used to work in Marketing management and has an MBA with specialism. Gail gave up career soon before having her 1st child and hasn’t worked since, but is now starting to look around and considering dipping her toes into the working world.

Watch and relate.
