Ailsa MacDonald and Marianne Hogan on Western States Endurance Run Dominance

Two Canadian women stormed their way to podium finishes at this year's Western States Endurance Run. Ailsa MacDonald and Marianne Hogan placed 2nd and 3rd, respectively at the world’s oldest 100 mile trail race in California. This is the first time that Canadians have reached the women’s podium since Ellie Greenwood set the course record in 2012. We spoke with Ailsa and Marianne a couple of weeks ago about their preparation, execution, and reflections on their stellar performances.
