Deconstructing the Mosaic of You with Shayna Cass

In this episode Shayna will give a brief introduction of the Internal Family Systems framework, then guide us through a somatic exercise where you will get to witness the process of communicating with parts in the body and through expressive art. To finish up, she will show us how to make a diagram of the parts that were present in the session and map their relationship within the system.

Shayna Cass is an artist, designer, educator, and somatic healer focusing on the intersection between relational trauma and neurodivergence. The central theme of her work is connection—connection to Self, connection to Spirit, connection to nature, and connection to others. As someone who struggled with relationships and a fractured sense of self all of her life, Shayna is passionate about helping people to connect deeply to themselves so that they can feel safe connecting deeply with others. She uses a multidisciplinary mind-body approach rooted in Somatic Internal Family Systems Therapy and expressive arts to guide her clients outside of the neurotypical box they've been trying to fit into their entire lives and into a life that embraces their highly sensitive nervous systems and aligns with their authentic nature. Shayna is a life-long learner with a BA in Anthropology, Graduate Certificate in Learning Design & Technology, and professional certifications in NLP, Integrative Somatic Parts Work, and Somatic Attachment Therapy.
