The Magnum Lebetem is the ‘giant cauldron’ wherein a mixture of superstition, paranoia, myth, religion, scientism, and entertainment are mixed together into a potent potion which is then poured out as a libation to every major end-times scenario. For the Abrahamic religions it is a blueprint for the apocalypse, armageddon, eschaton, etc. For spiritualist new agers it is ascension or alien saviors. For the technologist it is the metaverse. Every angle is covered by a force of energy playing god, devil, and savior. The doom-scrolling and constant attention to every horrible thing imaginable keeps us in a trance, and our dopamine rushes cultivate a type of hyperventilating frenzied state, as found at a Black Mass.
