Well, this is the episode we had hoped to announce the winner of the Dirkswish.com legendary Icon T-Shirt. We heard back from a few of you that wanted it, but nobody posted their answers. Luckily for you, we are extending the contest. The contest will run until July 31st. After that, one of us is going to steal the shirt and keep it for ourselves. In Episode 13 we start off with some headline and entertainment news. The Ruby Room, where more Americans get their news, than probably should. (Stolen from the Daily Show).

As this is Episode 13 and we actually recorded it on July 13th, we look into superstitions and where the fear of the number 13 originated. Find out who is and who isn’t superstitious and why.

Then it is time for the Topic Tumbler. We quick hit topics ranging from music, to Google Plus, to weird lyrics and more.

Finally, to wrap it up, we get to a topic Sammy has been begging for since we started The Ruby Room Podcast – Women’s Sports. OK, maybe not begging, but in light of the USA Women’s World Cup performance, we ask where women’s sports fits into our sports lives. We even attempt to rank the top female sports to watch.

Also, shout out to our second ever group on the band spotlight, Ill-iteracy. There have been some talks back and forth and we may just have them on in an upcoming episode, so check back for updates on that.
