From underdog to world-beater, from waiting in the wings to centre stage — Anthony Cacace has flipped the script on what we thought was possible in Irish boxing. Just over a year ago, many wondered if the ‘Apache’ would ever get his big chance. Now he’s one of the most feared men in the super-featherweight division and looking at possible monster matches up at lightweight. 

It started in Saudi with a stunning upset over Joe Cordina… continued in Wembley, where he took out the battle-hardened Josh Warrington… and most recently, he silenced Nottingham by stopping Leigh Wood in the ninth round, forcing the towel to come in.
