This episode is all about allowing ourselves to express and feel the FULL range of emotions. Society has labeled emotions as 'good' and 'bad' or positive and negative and as a result many of us have been programmed to try to avoid the so called negative emotions (sadness, fear, anger, loneliness etc.). This results in us always striving to be happy or joyful.


Our full range of emotions serve us in so many ways. If what we resist, persists then perhaps rather than trying to 'cheer up' or stuff them back down when we are feeling a negative emotion, why not just allow ourselves to accept whatever emotion is coming up and give ourselves some grace and space to process it. When we resist it, we are ironically keeping it around longer.


We discuss cultivating a strong relationship with ourselves so we can begin to listen to ourselves, and our bodies and actually trust what comes up when you ask yourself what you need.
