Mighty God

READ:

Isaiah 9:6 • Psalm 24:8 • Zephaniah 3:17a • Acts 2:23-24

DISCUSS:

• What is the eternal significance of the identity of Christ being given the title “Mighty God” for us? Why is this an announcement of “great joy”?

• How did/does God display His omnipotence (all-powerful)?

• How did/does God display His omniscience (all-knowledge)?

• How did/does God display His omnipresence (everywhere present)?

• How does the manger, the cross and the empty grave reveal a Mighty God who is mighty to save?

• In reflecting on this prophecy about our ‘Mighty God,’ how does it build your hope in Him—even if things in this world are not currently going the way we wish?

Pray that you will be more aware of God’s omniscience (knowledge), omnipotence (power) and omnipresence (presence).
