1)The G-7 Summit: Later this week, Japan will be hosting this year's G-7 Summit, including the largest and richest democracies in the world. What do you expect to be their focus---Ukraine, North Korea's nukes, Global Warming, Bank Collapse?
2)Thinking the Unthinkable--- Is the Use of Nuclear Weapons an Act of Genocide, or a War Crime?: Since Russia is threatening to use nuclear weapons from its huge stockpile in event it keeps losing it's war in Ukraine, it may be useful to consider if using such terrible weapons would constitute a war crime or act of genocide. What do you think?
3)Turkey's Elections: This week, Turkey held Presidential elections. The current President, Mr. Erdogan, has been in power for 20 years. His challenger Kemal Kilic-Daroglu is trying to return Turkey to a more 'secular democratic' system. The race was so close there will be a run off on May 28th. What is the significance of this election contest for the US?
