1) French President Macron's State Visit To China---Is France Becoming a Peking Poodle?: Last week, French President Macron was hosted in Beijing by Chinese leader Xi. Macron was accompanied by a group of top business leaders, aiming to expand trade and economic ties with China. On his return to France, Macron said Europeans have a different set of interests than the US, and added Europe's concerns over Taiwan independence are not as great as ours here in America. Is he saying the US would be on its own in a war against China over invasion of Taiwan?
2)Israel Launched Strike on Syrian Army Forces: In response to an attack of six missiles fired from Syrian territory, Israel's Self Defense Force struck back on a Syrian Military Compound of it's 4th Division, and also destroyed some military radar systems. This action was announced by Israel as retaliation for Syrian-based attacks. Does this violate Syrian sovereignty, or is it a legitimate act of self defense?
3)Israeli Troops Storm the Al Aqsa Mosque Compound: On the Eve of Passover last week, and again on Passover's first day, Israeli Army troops and Internal Security Police stormed the third most holy sight in all Islam, the Al Aqsa Mosque on Temple Mount in Jerusalem, beating worshipers with batons and gun handles. They claimed a Muslim 'mob' had gathered w/ stones and firecrackers and had to be removed. But the brutal manner shocked many outside observers, and sparked increased tensions. What do you think?
