1) Putin's Annexation of Four Ukrainian 'Regions' into Russia: This past week, Russia formally annexed four new 'regions' in Ukraine's Donbas in'to Mother Russia. They represent about 20% of the land mass of Ukraine. This was following a bogus referendum conducted in just one week, where 'voters' chose 'Da' over 'Nyet' to becoming part of Russia. More than 95% chose 'Da'. And while a war was raging in that contested area of Ukraine. Was the voting legitimate? What happens next?
2) Russian Neo-Nazis Committing Brutal Acts Against Ukrainian Prisoners: As just reported in UK newspapers, ' Rusich' is a neo-Nazi Russian 'militia' that is operating in border area of Ukraine. It has links to the Russian Imperial Movement (RIM) , a far right 'white nationalist' group based in St. Petersburg, Russia. This Rusich group has mutilated Ukrainian prisoners, before murdering them. Rusich was founded in St Petersburg, Russia in 2014 by former paratrooper Aleksei Milchakov and co-founder Yan Petrovsky . What's going on?
3) Brazil's Presidential Elections Last Sunday: Last Sunday, Brazil---a county with over 200 million people, making it the largest nation in S. America and fifth largest nation in the world ---voted for another President. The current President is right-wing former military officer Jair Bolsonaro, called the "Trump of the Tropics . He won last time by blocking his opponent from running, after charging him with corruption. That was Lula de Silva, who had served as leftist President. Lula is running against incumbent Bolsonaro again. What are the results? And why is this election so important?
.
4) Italy Elects 'Hard Right' Neo-Fascist Leader Giorgia Meloni as Next Prime Minister: The 45 year old Ms. Giorgia Meloni, the female head of the 'Brothers of Italy Party', --- which has roots in the fascism of Mussolini--- was just elected to form a new government. She is in a coalition with Matteo Salvini's "Northern League" and Silvio Beriusconi's "Force of Italy". Both were former Prime Ministers, who are also firm supporters of Vladimir Putin. Will her election lead to Italy's no longer supporting Ukraine against Russia?
