1)Fitch Rating Agency Downgrades US Treasury Bonds: One of the three main credit rating agencies, Fitch, has downgraded the US Government bonds from AAA to AA+, which may have big consequences for US $30 trillion in debt. Why did Fitch do this? What happens if one of the other rating agencies also downgrades?
2)Russian Ruble's Value Declining?: This week the Ruble declined in value. It now takes 100 Rubles to buy 1 US Dollar. But Russia still has the fifth largest foreign exchange reserve in the world, over half a trillion dollars. What is going on?
3)Chinese Real Estate Giant In Threat of Default?: 'Country Garden' one of the largest builders and developers of commercial and residential real estate in China, is on edge of default.
