Russia, Ukraine and NATO, Burma, North Korea Missile Tests, Israel - Retired US Diplomat to 5 different nations  David Hunter shares his knowledge, passion, interest, and experience.

1)  Russia, Ukraine and NATO:  Putin has been making demands that Ukraine not join NATO.  He says that we should return to the 'spheres of influence' that existed back in the times of the USSR.  He asks that NATO shed some of its current 30 members, down to the 17 who had joined prior to 1998.  He says otherwise Russia is threatened by creeping expansion up to Russia's borders.  Is this right?

2) Burma:  This is the one year anniversary of the Military Coup in Burma  (ie Myanmar) which overthrew the democratic government.   Democracy Leader  Aung San Suu Kyi   has been under house arrest most of this time.  More that 1500  of her democracy supporters have been killed,  and those who keep protesting are being arrested for treason and terrorism.  What should the democracies of the world do?

3) North Korea Missile Tests:  North Korea has conducted seven missile tests in January 2022.  That is the most since back in 2017 when we were in a major crisis with Little Rocket Man.  Experts predict that he will soon start testing Intercontinental ballistic missiles and do nuclear bomb testing.   Japan and South Korea are very worried.  What should the US do?

4) Israel:  Amnesty International just issued a report saying that Israel is an 'apartheid state'.  This conclusion was also reached by report of Human Rights Watch in April 2021, entitled "A Threshold Crossed".  Israel is calling these reports just  'anti-Semitic' propaganda.  What do you think?
