The Rest Is...PR At Christmas & Business During The Holiday Season

In the second episode of season 2, Jacki and Lyle are feeling festive! Well, they're certainly getting into the holiday spirit, and this week they discuss how PR professionals and agencies operate in the lead up to Christmas. Do they wind down or ramp up in the lead up to the big day? Jacki discusses the importance of providing 'evergreen' content for journalists over the festive period, and how acknowledging that they will be working hard over what is normally a designated holiday will make for a strong, empathetic relationship with them not just over Christmas but moving forward into the new year. Lyle discusses the importance of being specific in your preparations heading into the festive period as news and stories are now processed all over the world across a variety of different timezones, before Jacki opens up about when she first realised Christmas was destined to be her busiest period of time for the remainder of her career! There's also a teaser for next week's episode, where Lyle may finally reveal the identity of the host of his most recent gig!
