Melissa Lombardo, a well-traveled Connecticut native who lived in Central America for two decades. While living abroad, Melissa became the mother of a wonderful, now college-aged bicultural son.  She is a Bilingual Certified Sexual Assault Crisis Advocate and knows first-hand the silence surrounding the topic of sexual violence. It was through the support of friends and family as an empty nest parent in her early 40s that she navigated the path of vulnerability to begin speaking out and supporting the healing of those who have faced their trauma. She now advocates for others as they begin to heal and thrive to become their best version. As a naturally inquisitive person, Melissa credits her love of writing as a reason she was able to find her voice thrive beyond trauma.
