Accepting Feedback and Professional Growth

Seeking, accepting and acting on feedback is a critical part of every teacher’s role. As a CRT it can be difficult to get quality feedback and there is not always the professional support to act on feedback effectively. How do you seek professional feedback as a CRT? What can you do to take control of your professional growth?

Areas covered in this episode:

-         Formal and informal feedback

-         The issue of student feedback

-         Accepting negative feedback

-         What happens if a school doesn’t want you to return

-         AITSL Self-Assessment Tool

This episode is a recording of a live webinar in January 2021. The webinar series was part of Tradewind Australia’s ongoing professional support for CRTs.

The webinars were presented by Ian McNally with former Principals Terry Twomey and Billy Green.
