ABOUT MIKE AND MEGAN DOWNEY 

Mike has deep agricultural roots and, like many others, grew up on a family farm, but the farm wouldn’t support him joining full-time. Dirt “runs through his veins,” and he is passionate about family farms and farmland. He and his wife Megan began investing in commercial real estate in the late 2000s due to its more accessible barrier of entry and positive cash flow. Megan also has farming roots from both sides of her family and worked in an agricultural-focused community bank for many years before joining Mike at Farm Raised Capital.  At Farm Raised, Mike uses his background in business and finance, asset management, and communicating with land investors to be the conduit between the Farm Raised community and the real estate operators they invest with. Meanwhile, Megan uses her background in the financial industry to underwrite new deals and manage the business's lending, legal, and administrative aspects.
