Use Any Rally Towards 4,000 as an Opportunity (2/27/23)

(2/27/23) Our concern about market prices and sell signal triggers came to fruition during last week's sell off on a realization that higher interest rates are beginning to hit, and the Fed is planning further rate hikes. Futures for the Terminal Rate are now betting on a 5.4% ceiling, and the odds for a 50-bp rate increase are now set at 40% from zero last month. Markets are currently oversold, and the opportunity for a short-term rally are very good: Use any rally towards 4,000 as an opportunity to reduce portfolio risk and rebalance as needed. So long as sell signals remain intact, market upside will be limited.
