Nationally, college entrance exam scores have plummeted from a peak in the 1960's to a ranking in the second quintile (38th) against other industrialized nations. It is no accident Asian students perform better than American's, when percentages of household dollars are examined: Chinese spend 2% on Housing and 25% on Education; the inverse is true in the U.S. Outcome- or Equality-based educational programs will guarantee only that students emerge with educations of the lowest common denominator.
