The biggest problem with stimulus programs is their temporary status, which does little to inspire confidence--in workers or employers. Could continuing "stimmie checks" be a new form of welfare, a la Universal Basic Income? The problem with higher minimum wage is it either makes low-income workers unemployable, or forces businesses to automate basic functions.
