6-4-24 The 50-DMA is the Line in the Sand

Markets opened weakly on Monday but rallied at the end of the day to close in the green. Markets continue to bounce along the 20-DMA, and the question will be whether the late-session buying by institutions will continue. Late day rallies are encouraging, as they're occurring against the backdrop of a sell signal, but that's also keeping markets from going anywhere. Markets continue to move sideways as overbought conditions are worked off. The 50-DMA is the line in the sand: as long as we remain above there, there's not much to worry about. For now.
