Noah-O states in an interview with Randy Wilson that for 10 years he haven't put his face on any of his album covers so that people wouldn't let his appearance get in the way. This time Noah-O decided to do something different.  Noah stated that he wanted to be vulnerable and allow people to see his flaws.

TRILLipino is Noah's most personal project to date. He began conceptualizing this album in 2016 and he  wanted to create a body of work that would capture his experiences as a Filipino American growing up in San Francisco, CA & also Richmond, VA. Through having a desire to tell his own story he began to realize that he could use the album to tell his family's story & also touch on the collective experience of the Filipino diaspora. Noah-O predecessors left their home country to make a better opportunity for him in America.

Musically Noah-O wanted to create a project that would combine his influences From Bay Area Rap, Boom Bap & Lo Fi & Southern Hip Hop. Noah shared that he searched high & low to find a producer who could pull this together & in 2014 he found Suttahomz. A Brooklyn native who now resides in VA. Suttahomz is a seasoned veteran formally of Roc Nation with production credits from Amerie to 2 Chainz. Through years of hard work, becoming friends and finding a sound that fit, Noah-O and Suttahomz now present "TRILLipino"
