After a weekend of protests and parades, gay roommates Daniel (Gen X) and Julio (Gen Z) pose the question, "are we watching democracy unravel in the United States?" The two talk about the military/birthday parade, ICE raids, the murder/attempted murder of Minnesota lawmakers, the Big Beautiful Bill, the record-breaking number of executive orders, and how they're all contributing to the fall of democracy. But the roomies haven't given up hope yet - the record-breaking No Kings Day protests may be the signal that the tide is turning back in America's favor.
