Today's morning message from the Queen of Pep Talks is a reminder that when your mind tells you to “skip it” or “you don’t feel like it” you have the opportunity to keep your commitment to yourself and try that task your mind wants to skip for just 5 minutes. You have the ability to override those thoughts when they come up and still follow through with what you said you were going to do, even if it’s just for 5 minutes. If that time ends and you still want to quit on the task, you have full permission to with no shame, guilt, or feeling bad. Even if you don’t bring the task to completion, you still kept your word to yourself by trying for 5 minutes. By learning to dismiss the urge to just say fu*k it and do nothing and instead take the first steps and start, you will set yourself up to create more success in your life. XO
