- Read the Bible (In more than one version), good commentaries, and other theological works to understand scripture better.
- Ask for feedback from your audience and use it to refine your preaching.
- Learn how to develop a distinct style and voice to make your preaching more engaging.
- Learn how to communicate the message with humor, stories, and illustrations.
- Learn how to use technology to enhance your presentations effectively.
- Learn how to use body language to emphasize key points.
- Learn how to deliver a clear and concise message.
- Learn how to end a sermon.
- Learn how to begin a sermon.
- Learn how to be yourself.
- Learn how to stop thinking about yourself.
- Learn how to use your weaknesses to your advantage.
- Learn how to maintain eye contact with the congregation.
- Learn how to enunciate your words.
- Expand your vocabulary. More importantly, learn how to turn a phrase and use similies and metaphors to paint word pictures.
- Learn how to read the Bible clearly and distinctly.
- Pray for the Holy Spirit to guide you as you preach.
