The following podcast is my discovery of a remarkable comics creator, Maou No Sekai.
She was supposed to be accompanied by two of her colleagues but unfortunately, changes in our schedules left her as the lone guest for today's episode.
I didn't know much about her, but I decided to go on doing the solo episode anyway after our good friend Julius Sempio assured me that she would do great on her own.
True enough, we had a great, insightful, and productive conversation about different plans and approaches to creating a sustainable comics industry in the Philippines.
We talked about her original comics, her comics journey, the persistent problems of a comics creator, and the morale of the comics community, we entertained ideas like supplementing comics work with toys, merch, and games like her very own, La Historiaaaah tabletop card game!
We also discussed the newly formed conglomerate Pulsar Press, its plans to shake up the comics industry, and, yes, world domination.
There! So as before, please take time to smash the like button and subscribe to this channel, or else!
While you're at it, share the podcast with your friends and help me promote Filipino-made content that respects the intelligence of the Filipino audience.
