Back in 2014, Lourd De Veyra wrote an open letter to Bossing Vic Sotto, giving his critique on his Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) movie that year, "My Little Bossing". The letter went viral on social media, resulting in a backlash from critics and even Eat Bulaga Dabarkads; but it also created a discussion about the state of Philippine cinema and its culture amongst Filipino netizens during that time.
