Who is Jane Lessels?
Jane and her business partner Steve Pollard set up The Good Food Project in May 2022 to create an alternative food network to the one offered by the big supermarkets because of their concerns about the control that they and the large corporations have over our food supply.
Food is being mass produced with the use of toxic chemicals and farmers’ livelihoods are under attack – to continue to spend our money in these supermarkets is to fund this agenda.
So their aim is to create one that is affordable to all and of the best quality; one that is based on good old-fashioned customer service, and that supports our good health, and our farmers and small food producers.
Our strategy to create an affordable one-stop organic supermarket shop to provide people with an alternative place to shop and so reduce our reliance on supermarkets.
