Extensive sleep studies show that children who regularly sleep for 40-50-minutes longer than their peers have higher IQs. Did you know that a teenager's circadian rhythm shifts forwards 1-3 hours compared with an adult, so when you drag them out of bed at 07:00 that can be as early as 04:00 in REAL terms? When was the last time there was a serious discussion about the impact of proper and careful sleep on psychological fitness? Has your child's indoctrination centre or "homeschool" provision run a course on the intrinsic relationship between sleep and education? Thought not!
