David Green,
Reviews the UK's concerning addiction to opioid pain killers whilst sharing some exciting research that's set to change the face of natural pain management forever.
An estimated 43.5% of all UK adults suffer from chronic pain. This goes up to almost two thirds in patients over age 75. Unfortunately, many popular pain-killing medications, like paracetamol, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) all carry potential health risks. For example, NSAIDs can cause intestinal inflammation and ulcers and paracetamol can put a strain on our liver function. Opioids are only indicated for short term pain relief, in cases of post-operative care, and end-of-life palliative care, not for regular daily pain control.
There's some great news on its way for those currently resorting to regular opioid pain control, in the form of a natural alternative that's set to revolutionise natural pain management forever, called palmitic acid monoethanolamide or (PEA) for short.
