Have you felt this way at some point in your life -  you're having a hard time making enough money to live? Where do you turn, would you go with some experts and listen to their advice to help you in the right direction? If you had the courage to walk into your dream career and conquer your fears, wouldn't you?

Welcome to the PelviBiz Podcast! I’m your host, Dr. Kelly Alhooie, founder of OrthoPelvic Physical Therapy, Pelvic Health Business Grower, and PelviBiz Podcast. In this week’s episode, I will be joined by Dr. Loren Carver. Loren is a physical therapist who studied at South Dakota State University and received a Bachelor of Science in exercise science. She completed her Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Emory University in 2015 with the highest honors. She has ample experience treating orthopedic patients and has multiple advanced certification courses in pelvic floor rehabilitation. She takes a hands-on and evidence-based approach to her care. She is passionate about restoring the quality of life of her pelvic health patients. She enjoys working with pregnant and postpartum women to restore their well-being and confidence in their bodies.

We will touch on such topics as:

  • From struggling to work multiple jobs, to making her WHYs possible is one of the scariest things she will ever do. It's also one of the most fulfilling experiences a person can have.
  • As a physical therapist, you're expected to work hard and produce results. While this is true, she’s found that getting out of your comfort zone will make all the difference.
  • One of the major things that prevent people from starting their own private practice business is health insurance.
  • Pain is the driving force of why you are doing what you are doing.
  • Once you start treating patients in your own private practice, you’ll start realizing your worth.
  • Your physical location isn’t important when you start and it won't be when you finish. Start this journey today and move forward with a determination to break out of your comfort zone and do something new, different, and scary.
  • The more you achieve, the farther you will go in your journey.
