In the 19th and 20th century man- made lakes were popping up all over the country. This includes the 10,000 plus acre Fontana Lake in Swain County NC.

Hundreds of people were displaced from their generational homes. They were cut off from the burial sites of their ancestors, fed lies and given broken promises.

Today the anger and pain is still alive in the hearts of those whos families were treated so poorly. And maybe that is where that energy that haunts the tunnel at the end of Lakeview Dr in Bryson City stems from.

Voices and apparitions have been reported there, as well as groups of occult followers having rituals there.

Join us for a walk down memory lane of the formation of this great lake, and come meet one of the most terrifying legends I personally have ever heard of my home.
