Experimental psychologist Dr Lauren Heathcote shares her expert knowledge about applying a BPS model to cancer pain and other chronic diseases. She talks about what this means for clinical practice, the new treatment opportunities, psychologically wise interventions and how to embed these strategies into existing medical models.
Dr. Lauren Heathcote is an Associate Professor of Health Psychology at King’s College London. Her research focuses on understanding psychosocial influences on the experience of pain in young people, particularly youth with chronic illnesses such as cancer and chronic pain.
