Not being able to afford something is a financial circumstance we all deal with. For most of us, there will always be a list of things we desire, but don't have the money for. But why is not being able to afford something so painful to us? Is it becuase of the lack of money? Or is it becuase of what we make the "lack" of money mean? Trying to escape the discomfort of unmet desire is what drives so many of us into debt, buying things we cannot afford and living a life trying to keep up with the Jones's.
