Acute Otitis Media

Otitis media can refer to a few different pathologies, and so it is important to specify what type you are referring to. In general, there are two types that are commonly seen: these are acute otitis media (AOM) and chronic otitis media with effusion (also known as serous otitis media) . This episode focuses causes, presentation, history/physical exam, and treatment of acute otitis media.
