OMGP: Star Wars Episode 1: The Phantom Menace

In this episode Devon sits down with Jackson and Bart to discuss the official tie-in game for Star Wars Episode 1 The Phantom Menace for the original Playstation. As children, Bart, Devon and Jackson were swept up in the colossal media storm surrounding Episode 1, and that experience still colours their opinion of the film to this day. The game however, can't get as far on nostalgia alone, and the three Star Wars fans go into detail about the game's shortcomings, and about the things it does well regarding character, setting and plot. Oddly enough, this tie-in from 1999 is more ambitious than most Star Wars games, featuring conversation choices (some of which include jedi mind trick  options), and a rich landscape of NPCs,  but overall it's about as functional as Ben Quadrinaros' podracer.
