OMGP: Jurassic Park (Sega Genesis)

In this episode of the Obligatory Movie Game Podcast, Devon sits down with Moises to discuss the official tie-in game for Jurassic Park on Sega Genesis. Devon and Moises have both watched the film countless times, but they played the game together for the first time in preparation for this episode. As a beauty of the 16 bit era, the game comically reduces Steven Spielberg’s Oscar-winning blockbuster (and Michael Crichton’s novel) to a run and gun side scroller featuring Dr. Grant and a vindictive velociraptor as playable characters. Even though the game is fairly short, Devon and Moises find plenty to talk about as they compare the plot, characters, setting and music of the film to its Genesis counterpart.
