BOYG 18: Jason Truong vs. The Original Xbox, Naruto and Action Flicks

In this episode Devon sits down with actor/stuntman Jason Truong to discuss the stunt side of film and TV. He reflects on the "safety first" mentality of stunt coordinators, and talks about the overqualification of the average stunt performers on screen. Together Devon and Jason geek out over classic action series like Terminator, and new series like John Wick. Jason gives Devon a list of early Jackie Chan films that he needs to watch, and they both admit to falling into retro video game collecting during the pandemic. Jason talks about getting his family into Naruto, and they reflect on the growing popularity of manga/anime in the west.  As they talk about couples gaming and local multiplayer, they marvel at the fact that in the early-to-mid noughties gamers would bring their heavy TVs and Xboxes to friends’ houses just to connect via system link cables.
