An intro to me, your host, and the birth of Next Shift

This episode is a QUICK intro into who I am, where I came from, how I got into Law Enforcement, and in the words of the Fresh Prince, "Now this is a story all about how my life got flipped upside down..." 

In all seriousness, that is exactly how it felt when my law enforcement career was suddenly taken and I found myself not knowing who I was, what I was going to do, or even what I wanted to do.

There were a LOT of years spent just going through the motions, feeling unfulfilled, like there had to be more to life than waking up and cussing at the alarm clock, and finally one day it hit me in the middle of a conversation with a friend..."I can help ex-cops who lost their career!" It was a lightbulb moment and it changed everything!

I suddenly had a feeling of knowing exactly who I was and a renewed sense of purpose and passion for serving a community I once served alongside. I did not go into detail about what all it took to create Next Shift, LLC due to time...but if that is something you want to hear more about, please reach out and let me know. It could be a future episode. What I can tell you, is it was not a QUICK process and it is still in its infancy...but day by day, it is growing and I cannot wait to see the IMPACT it will make on so many in the midst of creating their own Next Shift.
