Ireland's Food Truck Revolution

The Irish Food Truck revolution has well and truly taken hold with new takeaway spots popping up at scenic, unexpected and quirky locations. But is it here to stay? Innovation, liberation and limitation feed into an exciting way to cook and eat. Food Trucks give autonomy to chefs and entrepreneurs with the flexibility to figure out and expand an audience. 

We speak to two inspiring Irish food truck entrepreneurs; Niamh Hegarty, from Niamh’s Larder, East Cork, and Shannon Forrest of Rívesci, Clonmel, Co. Tipperary. As it happens both are also NeighbourFood hosts in their own towns.

While their stories are similar through the adversity of a global pandemic and innovation that occurs as a result, we hope you will be inspired by their individual journeys and great love of local food.
