wix claims to have 210 million users. Since there are only 125 million businesses worldwide and about 30 million in the US, this number is suspect. But when you explore their paying users and their $1.1 B income, it works out to the $175 per user per year. A very reasonable amount given their SMB focus and with lots of opportunities for upselling.

The recent past has been unkind to mall based department stores. Bloomies has moved to the street AND gone much smaller, higher tech and customer focused with a test store that heavily curates style trends and provides “stylists” that can actually help you find the right clothing. All in all an interesting retail experience and experiment.

What are the implications if something like this were to pass? It could be a cluster-f*** or it could actually provide user agency depending on how it's implemented. We don’t really need more “click seventeen times and still not be sure what you just agreed to websites”.
