Andrew Leahy is a thriving musician in Nashville. He is currently the band leader and guitar player for Country star Elizabeth Cook. He also fronts his own band Andrew Leahy and the Homestead. He's shared stages with the likes of Willy Nelson and Mike Campbell. He's also a Music Journalist! Andrew has a new album coming out this fall and we get a live performance of one of those song as the end of this episode. In this conversation we talk all about his career and Andrew shares many great stories including meeting his guitar hero Mike Campbell (Tom Petty's guitar player in the Heatbreakers), trying not to kill Willy Nelson, what it takes to survive in Nashville, and his recovery from brain surgery to remove a brain tumor. Andrew is a very interesting guy and I enjoyed speaking with him.
