Kristine Sostar McLellan is the co-founder of One Tough Mother, a business built after experiencing the night and day postpartum journey from her first child to her second. Her mission is to give the "second time experience" to postpartum mamas everywhere, every single time.

"In the Trenches" is a series of shows where I take you behind the scenes of businesses and entrepreneurial journey's where they are in the early stages of building their business (the first 1-3 years). I think too often we see the "before and after" stories, which can remove us from the very real lived experiences, struggles, wins, and everything in between that happen while we are in the thick of it!!! This episode is the first in the series, highlighting the very real journey of building a business as an early stage entrepreneur.

Kristine shares so vulnerably what it's been like and what it continues to be like, as she builds  her business, One Tough Mother,  that is truly an INCREDIBLE gift for postpartum moms everywhere. In this episode we always talk about the postpartum journey, entrepreneurship and both share our personal stories of birth, trauma, and transformation.

Matrescence - a term which references the transition of becoming a mother - is something that both Kristine and I are extremely passionate about. After having my own *incredibly challenging* postpartum experience, seeing what Kristine is creating and how she is working tirelessly to change the experience for so many parents, is truly inspiring.
