Shinrin-yoku is the name given to the Japanese art of "forest bathing," or contemplative walks through the woods that reconnect us with nature. Some call this just getting outside, but in Japan, they put a little more intention into it, and in doing so the benefits of getting outside are increased.
These benefits are being researched by Scientists, who have found evidence that being in nature has a profound impact on our brains and our behavior, helping us to reduce anxiety, and stress, and increase our attention capacity, creativity, and our ability to connect with other people.
Nature bathing helps us connect with the universe, So at some point today and for as many days as you can, I want you to get outside and do an activity you would normally do indoors, outdoors. A few examples. Phone calls, take them from your garden. Exercise, walk outside instead of a treadmill. Reading - beaches are made for reading. And if you can not think of any, then just get outside and take a nice walk in the woods, or a park.
These meditations are best experienced using headphones. Please do not engage in any activity that requires your attention like driving or operating machinery while listening to this podcast. To learn more about the music and isochronic tones used, check out http://unifiedfieldrecordings.com/All other questions and inquires please use [email protected]
